CPVC and UPVC pipes look similar but are made for different jobs. Choosing the right one keeps your plumbing leak-free for years.
CPVC – for hot and cold water
CPVC (chlorinated PVC) pipes and fittings are used for hot and cold water supply in homes, hotels and hospitals. UNITECH CPVC pipes are made to IS 15778:2007 in SDR 11, SDR 13.5, SCH 40 and SCH 80, with a full range of plain and brass-threaded fittings.
UPVC – for cold water
UPVC plumbing pipes are used for cold water lines: drinking water supply, bathroom and kitchen piping, water distribution networks and high-rise buildings. UNITECH UPVC plumbing pipes follow IS 4985:2021 and come in 3 m and 6 m lengths from 1/2″ to 6″.
Which should you choose?
